Hi, I'm Monique! I'm an artist, singer-songwriter, poet and teacher.

Throughout my education and career, I have sought to master poetry, music, painting, and other forms of creative expression. In most of my mediums, I mythologize my family members to make our personal histories connect to the collective human experience. 

Aside from painting, I have also begun exploring with film, music, and performance art. In my music and performance art videos under the name of Flower Massacre, I attempt to integrate my artistic avenues to emotionally move people and create powerful messages in an oblique way.
